I've wrestled with it: to blog or not to blog. I suppose the constant asking (i.e. nagging) of family and friends has weakened me. Actually, several forces have been pushing me to do this. But it is the above moment I captured that put me over the top.
Normally when the child depicted above would be caught destroying my birthday cake (lovingly baked by my hubby) I would have immediately begun cleaning up said child and cake. The cleaning would have been proceeded by "What are you doing?!!!" or something more sinister. Then the muttering of chastisements and sighing would follow. But this time I stopped and captured it. Not only for future blackmail purposes, but because it was cute. Truly adorable. Truthfully, if no one was looking I would have done the same thing to the cake! Who hasn't done this to a cake as a child? But not many will have a picture of it.
The biggest reason for this blog is my desire to remember my life while it is happening. I have often used the argument: "My life is so boring. Who would care what is happening to me?" I have slowly been amending that sentiment. My life is not boring. It is packed with adventures. I can honestly say I hope I even find the time to craft this blog in the way I truly want because my life is fun, challenging, silly and on rare occasion inspiring. Not to everyone - but to me and my family and friends. So I will do this for them.
Awesome! Thanks for inviting me to share in your life! Sammy is huge! It's been way too long since I've seen the little guy! Love you! Liz

ReplyDeleteabout freakin time! it's not about wether anyone else thinks it's exciting it's about remembering your own life!
ReplyDeleteYay Lindsay!! I am now inspired to update mine...which I haven't done since before Christmas. I'm blaming it on tax season, but really it's just laziness.
ReplyDeleteFirst, cute kitchen!! Second, I'm so glad you're blogging for the sake of people like me who only get to see you once a year. I think you'll be glad you kept track of this stuff, even if it's just the day to day of life with three boys, and they'll be glad you did too when they're old enough to read it and look back. I turn mine into a blog book once a year and call it good for the family journal!
ReplyDeleteLOl- You'll be a junkie in no time. I am so glad you took this picture of him- what a funny boy!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you decided to join our blogging world! Plus - now I get to see pictures of my favorite boys more often. Oh how I miss them... Love you!
ReplyDeleteThis is great... I can't tell you how many times I catch malynn crouching under the table eating something she shouldn't. Hilarious! I'd love to see more pictures of your darling boys!
